Green Home Staging - again is the buzz for the NAHB and Building Industry groups all over the nation! We were asked to Stage a Green Home Model for a Home Show - and it turned out great. The home was a modular home - and all elements were Green from the design to the construction. It was a unique featured home at the recent Spring Home Show - and We Stage Sacramento was privileged to be part of this new market segment. Team members Michelle Beste and Diane Cahill did the Staging work.
Here are some photos of the house:
Modular home set up on the grounds of the Home Show . . .
Living Room
Kitchen
Dining Room (notice the "real" fruit - not faux)
Master - we hung the panel with a branch affixed to the wall.
Master Bath - the mat in front of the shower was made of rocks.

Jennie,
Good for you! Hope the home show was successful & that the exposure will bring you a ton of business. Michelle & Diane did a fantastic job staging the place too! Continued success!
Jenny: Good to see you again! I have so many questions about this "green" house! What % of the furnishings had to be "green" for this project? What were your sources? Did you find the price differential huge between "green" items and "other"? Julie
Jennie, Michelle, Diane, and the Team -- Nice, green job! THANKS for sharing photos and details of your project. I'd love to know more about it, as I work toward similar projects in Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC area.
Hi all,
The resources were pretty much the same as doing a normal staging job, except we had to eliminate or totally minimize the use of synthetic or faux stuff. No fake greenery, only real fruits, and things like soaps in the bathroom for a "spa look" would be natural. The bedding - all cotton, the rugs - again, all cotton (or in the past we have used jute or bamboo). The bath mat was made of rocks - pretty cool looking, not sure how practical it is. The furniture was provided by a rental company - and they were not "green" per se - they helped provide the "look" or style for the audience that the builder was targeting. Clean lines, more contemporary colors (turquoise and brown, with some greens) - so it's easier than you think to target this market segment.
As the builders and public demand more "green" services, we may move to furniture that is from natural resources like bamboo, or even perhaps manufactured from green materials - but I see that as being in the future.
